Hema Patel was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, IL. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree of Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, Hema continued on to earn her Masters of Public Health from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. While working as a medical assistant at a dermatology practice in Naperville, IL, Hema realized her career goal in becoming a Physician Assistant. Subsequently she then obtained her Bachelors of Physician Assistant studies at Howard University in Washington, D.C. As a board certified and licensed Physician Assistant, Hema has been practicing in the field of Dermatology since 2014. After practicing as a surgical Mohs PA in Naperville, IL for over 2 years she moved to California and worked in Dermatology for Sutter Medical Group providing superior patient care in both clinical and surgical settings. Hema has a strong passion for Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. She strives to provide the highest level of medical care to all her patients as well as educating her patients on proper skin care and sun protection. Hema is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and San Francisco Bay Area Physician Assistants.
