Dr. Michael Hall is a board certified, fellowship trained, head and neck surgeon specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Prior to his medical education, Dr. Hall received his B.S. in biology from Lehigh University. It was here where his passion for medicine began; working as an Emergency Medical Technician at the university during the school year and spending his summer months working as an Emergency Room Critical Care Technician at a local hospital. Dr. Hall then went on to Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School to complete his medical education.
After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Hall moved back home to Philadelphia and completed his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. It was during this time, Dr. Hall gained an appreciation for the intricate balance between surgery and artistry, form and function, that led him to pursue the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. After completing his residency, he was chosen for a highly competitive fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, one of less than 50 positions each year.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hall has authored numerous publications and has presented at various meetings in both Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 2015, he was awarded the AAOA Merck Clinical Scholar Award for his research efforts. Dr. Hall specializes in the full breadth of cosmetic and functional facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has extensive training in face and neck lifting, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, fat transfer, minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical techniques, injectables, lasers, Mohs reconstruction, trauma and more.
Dr. Hall now calls the Bay area home and lives here with his wife, son and dog. During his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors. He is an avid runner, Philadelphia sports enthusiast, music lover and world traveler. He enjoys meeting new people, exploring new places and eating good food.
