Chelsea Ma, M.D. grew up in Southern California. She attended Stanford University and received a B.A. with Departmental Honors in Human Biology, as well as a minor in Spanish. She then attended medical school at the University of California Davis, where she discovered her interest for dermatology and pursued psoriasis research.
After medical school, Dr. Ma braved the cold for one year in Boston, where she completed her internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. She returned to UC Davis for a complex medical dermatology research fellowship and has co-authored over 20 publications. She is currently completing her dermatology residency at UC Davis, and serving as Chief Resident.
Dr. Ma enjoys writing and journalism and was an editor for the Stanford Daily as well as the Dermatology Online Journal. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and home remodeling.
