Anne Han, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist in San Francisco practicing medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, with a focus on skin health and natural-looking results. Her approach is both preventive and corrective — earlier, lighter intervention to protect the skin’s structure before it is lost, and targeted treatment to restore what has already changed. “The goal is never for someone to look like they’ve had work done – it’s for them to look like a younger version of themselves.”

Originally from Toronto, Dr. Han earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and completed a fellowship in dermatopharmacology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, where she also completed a fellowship in wound healing — the science of skin repair and remodeling that underlies laser resurfacing and surgical treatment.

Dr. Han has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters, including work published in Cancer, the Archives of Dermatology, and the British Journal of Dermatology, and wrote the chapter on photoaging for the Dermatologic Clinics photodermatology series. She has lectured nationally and internationally, and has presented at the annual meetings of the Skin Aging, Facial Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery Symposium, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and the European Society for Dermatological Research.

Dr. Han is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She previously built a comprehensive dermatology practice at a large multispecialty group, including its cosmetic service line, and is a member of the medical staff in the Department of Dermatology at California Pacific Medical Center.

Outside of the office, Dr. Han enjoys yoga, cooking, nature, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
