Meghan Feely McDonald, MD

Meghan Feely McDonald, MD, FAAD is a board certified dermatologist caring for adult and pediatric patients at Golden State Dermatology. Dr. McDonald attended Dartmouth College, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in history as a Rhodes scholarship finalist. She was awarded a merit-based scholarship to attend the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, where she was named Humanitarian of the Year. She completed her internship at a Tufts Medical Center affiliate and her Dermatology residency at Mount Sinai with the title of Chief Resident. 

Dr. McDonald is Associate Staff in the Mount Sinai Department of Dermatology and a former contributor in the ABC News Medical Unit. She has shared her expertise with numerous media outlets, such as TODAY, Martha Stewart.com, Men’s Health, BuzzFeed, Bustle, Prevention and WebMD. Dr. McDonald previously served as a Consulting MD for L’Oréal and as an advisor for Glow Recipe in New York City.

Dr. McDonald is a former NIH grant recipient and has presented dermatologic research at national meetings. She served as an Executive Director and Indication Lead in Medical Affairs at Eli Lilly and as a Senior Medical Director in Clinical Development at Apogee Therapeutics. Dr. McDonald has served on committees for the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Dr. McDonald is a proud wife to an officer in the Navy and mother to three children. She is delighted to be caring for patients in the Carmel office. Dr. McDonald has a special interest in inflammatory disorders of the skin such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and acne; skin cancer screenings; and minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures. She designs customized treatment plans to achieve positive outcomes for her patients. Outside of work, Dr. McDonald loves spending time with her incredible family, being involved in their local church community, and enjoying this special place we call home!
