Hair Restoration

What Is Hair Restoration?

Hair restoration treatments work by transplanting healthy hair follicles, stimulating existing follicles, or blocking the hormones that cause hair loss.

Think of hair follicles as tiny factories under your skin that produce hair. When these factories stop working or slow down, you lose hair. Hair restoration essentially fixes or replaces these factories to get them producing hair again.

The hair restoration method that’s right for each person will depend on what’s causing the hair loss and how much hair the patient has already lost. Some treatments work by moving healthy hair follicles from areas where your hair is still thick (like the back of your head) to areas where it’s thinning. Other treatments use medications or special therapies to wake up sleeping follicles or protect the ones you still have from further damage.

Results vary depending on the treatment method, with surgical procedures providing permanent results and medical therapies offering ongoing improvement with continued use. Most patients start seeing new hair growth within a few months, but it takes about a year to see the full results since hair grows slowly.

Who Benefits from Hair Restoration?

Hair restoration is ideal for individuals experiencing androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness), which affects a large number of men with hair loss and an increasing number of women. The best candidates have realistic expectations and sufficient donor hair for transplant procedures.

Good candidates typically have stable hair loss patterns, though younger patients with progressive hair loss can benefit from medical therapies that slow or halt further loss. Those with hair loss from scarring, trauma, or medical treatments are also excellent candidates for restoration procedures.

Successful hair restoration requires good overall health, realistic expectations about outcomes, and adequate donor hair density in unaffected areas. Our specialists evaluate each patient’s unique hair loss pattern, scalp condition, and aesthetic goals to recommend the most effective treatment approach.

What Parts of the Body Can You Treat Hair Loss?

Hair restoration techniques address hair loss in multiple areas:

Scalp treatments are most common, addressing male and female pattern baldness, crown thinning, and receding hairlines with natural-looking results that restore confidence.

Facial hair restoration helps men achieve fuller beards and mustaches or address patchy growth patterns. This is particularly beneficial for individuals with scarring or genetic factors affecting facial hair development.

Eyebrows and eyelashes restoration addresses over-plucking, medical hair loss, or naturally sparse growth. These delicate procedures require specialized techniques to achieve natural-looking results that complement your facial features.

Body hair restoration can address chest hair, underarm hair, or other areas affected by trauma, scarring, or medical conditions. These procedures carefully consider hair characteristics and growth patterns specific to different body regions.

And more – Our specialists can address hair loss in virtually any area where natural hair growth has been compromised, creating customized solutions for each patient’s unique needs.

Procedures & Treatments Available

Surgical Hair Transplantation

Surgical hair transplantation is the gold standard for permanent hair restoration. These procedures move healthy hair follicles from donor areas to thinning or balding areas, creating natural-looking results that last a lifetime. Modern techniques like FUE and Strip FUT offer different approaches to meet your specific needs and lifestyle preferences.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

SMP is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses specialized pigments to replicate the appearance of hair follicles. This technique creates the illusion of fuller hair, defines hairlines, or camouflages scars. SMP works excellently as a standalone treatment or combined with hair transplantation for enhanced results.

Regenerative & Bio-Enhancement Therapies

These cutting-edge treatments use your body’s natural healing processes to stimulate hair growth. Options include Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Acell Bio Matrix, and Liposomal ATP therapy. These treatments can be used alone or combined with other procedures to enhance results and promote healthier hair growth.

Medical Therapies

FDA-approved medications and treatments that work by blocking hair loss hormones or stimulating follicles. Options include oral and topical medications like finasteride, dutasteride, and minoxidil, as well as advanced light therapies. These treatments offer convenient, non-surgical approaches to slowing hair loss and promoting regrowth.
