Vein Removal for Hands & Face

Treating veins on your face and hands takes special care because these areas are delicate and always visible. Dr. Malvehy has developed and iterated a series of proprietary techniques in order to provide safe and effective vein removal for the forehead, temples, face, and hands. We have specific methods that work well on spider veins, bulging hand veins, and facial vein problems while keeping these areas looking natural. These treatments can make aging hands and facial skin look much better, giving you a more youthful appearance.

Cosmetic Vein Treatments

Sclerotherapy is one of the best ways to treat unwanted veins. This proven method uses small injections that make problem veins close up and slowly disappear. Our experienced team makes sure you’re comfortable during treatment while getting excellent results. This gentle approach means very little recovery time and improvements that last for years.

Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are abnormal, non-functional veins in the legs and are a manifestation of a deeper circulation issue called venous insufficiency. Without treatment, varicose veins may lead to leg pain, cramping, leg swelling, superficial thrombosis or blood clots, skin discoloration, and ulcers or wounds. Varicose veins never get better on their own – they only get worse with time.

Venous Insufficiency

Venous insufficiency is a circulation problem where blood does not return from the legs effectively against gravity, causing it to pool in the lower legs. Each of the veins in the legs has a series of one-way valves that help drive blood up, against the force of gravity, back to the heart. When valves in a vein are broken, usually something that people are born with, blood flow backwards, towards the calves and ankles. This happens most commonly in the Great Saphenous Vein. Over the course of the day, blood pools in the legs causing the symptoms of venous insufficiency.

Venous Ulcers

Dr. Malvehy offers treatment for venous ulcers and venous insufficiency. Wounds are the result of chronic insufficiency and can occur even if the person has never had visible varicose veins. Poor circulation in the lower leg leads to chronic inflammation of the skin, breaking down the skin and making the associated wound difficult to heal and may recur.
